From the Pastor's Desk - Holy Week 2024
The celebration of Passion Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and the last week of the sacred Lenten season. It's a time that offers us a great opportunity to reflect on the paschal mystery of Christ and the story of our salvation. I encourage all our parishioners to actively participate in the events of this very important week and time of the year in our lives as Christians especially during the last three days of Holy Week, namely, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday that will eventually lead us to the joyful celebration of Easter Sunday. I wish everyone a very fruitful and rewarding Holy Week celebration.
My Dear Parishioners,
We thank God that summer is here with us once again. With the school year over, we are now set for another beautiful season of summer and some break.
May I use this opportunity also to congratulate our 2022 First Communicants, those Confirmed in the faith, and more so, the graduates from St. John Brébeuf School as it was a great and beautiful celebration a few weeks back with family and friends coming together to rejoice and support them with their loving presence and prayerful support. We wish them well for the future and God’s continuous blessings and guidance as they begin another important phase in their lives.
May I also thank all our parishioners for the faith and fellowship that we have continued to share together. Last Tuesday, we came together for a Volunteer Appreciation evening in thanks to all our parishioners and all who volunteer their time, gifts, and talents with our parish community. We appreciate all you do to keep our parish family going, especially in times like these. We pray to the good Lord to continue to bless us all always.
As we enjoy the summer months, I wish everyone a very pleasant and relaxed summer. Safe travels for those who may be able to travel during this period and God’s choicest blessings and peace on everyone. Amen!
